Oneal Lewis was born in Marietta, Cass County, Texas on July 7, 1931. He was born late to Creo and Otiller Lewis. Oneal spent his life in Marietta, Texas where he attended and completing grade school.
Oneal moved to Portland later on in the 50’s where he met his wife Margaret Haskin. Very soon after they had their first child Felecia in 1957, he secured employment with Esco, where he worked as a welder for over 30yrs until he retired. Oneal also had 3 more children, Wilbur Thomas, Stinella Black and Shari Lewis. He also joined New Hope Missionary Baptist Church became an Usher and has been a member for over 30 years.
Oneal was an avid fisherman and during his past time he loved to find new and old spots to fish, with his fishing buddy Mr. Warren. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and didn’t mind if you just wanted to drop bye he would be more than happy to see you.
Oneal is preceded in death by his wife Margaret Lewis, his siblings: Conera Lewis, Lorelia Fields, Zettie Pruitt, Creo Lewis Jr, Menion Lewis. Cherishing his memories Oneal leaves behind his 4 children: Wilbur Thomas of Wichita Falls, Texas, Felecia Lewis of Portland, Oregon, Stinella Black of Phoenix, Arizona, Shari Lewis of Portland, Oregon. 4 grandchildren; Lamar, Brian, Shannel. De’Jauzsa and a number of great grandchildren, family and Friends.
