Margaret Ivy (Pizzey) Anthony

Margaret Ivy Helen Anthony, affectionately known as "Nana" to all that knew her, received her wings and ticket to Glory on Sunday October 6, 2019. She was born to Charles Joseph and Daisy Ivy Pizzey on July 12, 1938 in Isleworth, England. On December 12, 1967 she married the love of her life and best friend, SGT. Robert Leroy Anthony who preceded her in death on March 12, 1990.

Nana loved to love people. She was a dedicated mother first and foremost, a dutiful wife, thoughtful friend and cherished childcare provider for many years. She especially loved her role as Nana. She had an electric personality, distinguished accent, and the ability to make any and everyone laugh with her quick wit and sharp tongue, which was obviously passed down to each one of her children. Nana was without a doubt, the epitome of what a Mother and Grandmother should be. Welcoming, caring, compassionate and selfless and ALWAYS willing to give you her last and a piece of her mind, if you needed it. Her open door policy provided countless people with a hug, hot meal, warm bed, and if you were REALLY lucky you'd get to hear her say "What is this? Pick on Darrold day?" or "You bloody kids stop banging the screen!".

Nana is survived by her brother Michael Pizzey of England as well as her children Yvonne, Vicki, James (Jimmy), David, Sharon, Michelle and Tina. As well as 19 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in Glory by her Mother, Father and Husband.

Nana embodied pure strength, grace and resilience to the very end. She left us with the greatest gifts of all, love, family and enough memories to keep us smiling for the rest of our lives. Nana, we will spend the remainder of our lives missing you and making you proud of the family you and papa created. We love you, Babe!
