Gloria "Ann" McClain was born on the 7th of July, 1949 to parents Jewell McClain and Minnie Jones in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Minnie and Ann made the journey to Portland, Oregon in 1950 and have remained in the area ever since.
Growing up, Ann enjoyed playing with her most favorite cousin, Anita Harris. Ann attended Boise Elementary and later went on to Jefferson High School to complete her G.E.D. She enjoyed being a caregiver, especially when it came to her five younger siblings. Reading was a passion for her, and she made sure the younger family members made reading a priority. In 1976, Ann met the man that she shared so many years of her life with, Brian Mosley. In her pastime Ann loved to travel; mostly to Reno and many more places. Ann was very artistic and loved to draw. She also loved to play cards, dominoes, games, and do puzzles.
Everyone who knew Ann knows what part she played in your life; we ask you to think back on those memories and cherish them forever.
Preceding Ann in passing are two siblings; sister Tonie Carter and brother Edward Jones; father Jewell McClain; stepfather Samuel Brown; aunts Ida Mae Hill, Nettie Windrem and Dorothy Williams; uncles Ed and Amos Jones; nephews Torrey Carter and Duriel Harris; and three beloved dogs Ms. Ann, Sir George, and little Jewell.
