Allen J. Collins, Sr.

Allen J. Collins Sr was born on July 13, 1952 to Jessie Mae
Collins and Sydney Collins in Paducah, Texas. He came to Portland,
Oregon in 1965 and Portland is where he took his last breath September 2, 2019.

Allen Sr was a welder as well as a people person. He loved telling stories about his many adventures. He also attended church at Shepherd’s Gate Church in Portland, Oregon.

He was welcomed home by his parents, his son, and other family
members. He leaves to continue his legacy his daughters, Anell Collins, Honey Collins, and son Giovanni Barr; his grandchildren Alahondre, Avarihae, Jawana, J’Quan, Beautifull, Allakai, Drayshon, Successfull, Bahati, Itally, and Akai Collins; his sisters Shirley Collins Johnson and Debra Collins; nieces Jessie Foster, Larissa Jones, and Kisha Jones; great niece Penelope Nabors; stepchildren Tasha and Terrence Mitchell, Edward Alexander, Shacoya Hamlin and Angel Harris; as well as a host of other cousins and close friends.
